Arrest Made in East Granby Bank Robberies
The First National Bank of Suffield was robbed twice in the period of two weeks.

A West Hartford man has been arrested in connection with two bank robberies in East Granby.
The first robbery occurred on Jan. 27 and the second was reported Feb. 8 at the First National Bank of Suffield. Connecticut state police believed the same suspect was responsible for both robberies based on his “actions and comments.”

After investigating, police developed a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for Kevin W. Baker, 45, of West Hartford. A search and seizure warrant was also authorized and executed at Baker’s residence.
Baker was taken into custody Feb. 14 at his residence and transported to Troop H where he was processed and is being held on bond pending his court date. He was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of second-degree larceny.

He was given a court set bond of $700,000 and a court date of Feb. 16.
