Granby Residents Invited To Help Plan Town’s Future
Officials say community input will help guide conservation, growth, and priorities in Granby through the next decade.
GRANBY, CT — Residents are being invited to weigh in on Granby’s future as the town begins work on its next Plan of Conservation and Development, a key planning document that will guide land use, growth, and preservation decisions over the next 10 years.
Municipalities in Connecticut are required to update their Plans of Conservation and Development, often referred to as POCDs, once every decade. The plan helps outline priorities for housing, economic development, environmental protection, transportation, and other community needs.
Granby officials are encouraging residents to participate in a public workshop scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 7 p.m., where community members can share ideas and feedback about what they want to see preserved or improved in town.

Residents who are unable to attend the workshop can still submit comments by emailing pocd@granby-ct.gov or by contacting the town’s Community Development Department at 860-844-5318.
