Granby Woman Selected For Connecticut Superior Court Bench
A Granby veteran and state attorney has been nominated to serve on the Connecticut Superior Court.
GRANBY, CT — A Granby attorney who oversees major litigation for several Connecticut state agencies has been nominated by Gov. Ned Lamont to serve on the Connecticut Superior Court.
Rosemarie Weber, 57, of Granby, is one of 14 individuals Lamont announced as nominees to fill vacancies on the state’s trial court.
Lamont said the nominations reflect the experience and qualifications needed on the bench.

“Selecting nominees to become judges is one of the most important duties of a governor, and this class of nominees have the qualifications and meet the high standards the people of Connecticut deserve on the bench,” Lamont said.
The nominations have been forwarded to the Connecticut General Assembly for review and confirmation.

Weber currently works in the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General as a deputy associate attorney general and section chief of the Infrastructure and Economic Development section, where she manages complex litigation for multiple state agencies.
Earlier in her career, she served in the attorney general’s Child Protection section, representing the state in child abuse and neglect cases at both the trial and appellate levels. She also spent more than a decade as a trial lawyer in private practice.
Weber graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and earned her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law. She is also a veteran who served in the United States Army.
Lamont nominated 14 individuals in total to fill 20 current vacancies on the Connecticut Superior Court. The candidates must still be confirmed by the legislature before taking the bench.
