Police Reminding Residents to Stay Off the Quarry
Several serious injuries and even deaths have occurred involving trespassers on the 200-foot-high cliff in West Suffield, near Granby.

SUFFIELD, CT - Suffield police have renewed their oft-stated request for thrillseekers to stay off the Suffield Quarry property.
In a post on its Facebook page, the Suffield Police Department stated, "Please stay off the Quarry. The owners of the private property have authorized us to arrest those who trespass, and we have been. In the past years we have seen some horrific injuries result from people climbing in the area and we don’t want to see any more needless injuries."
Police handled several emergency calls at the site in 2015; the last known death was an 18-year-old from Agawam, Mass. in 2001.
