Gardener Arrested After Alleged Fight At Greenwich Property: PD

The altercation occurred on Tuesday afternoon on Round Hill Road.

GREENWICH, CT — An altercation between a gardener and a refuse collector at property on Round Hill Road in Greenwich led to the arrest of the gardener on a charge of disorderly conduct, according to Greenwich police.

Officers were called to the scene just before 1 p.m. on a report of an alleged fight between two workers at the property.

The altercation began when a refuse collector came to the site to pick up garbage, but the dumpsters at the property allegedly were blocked by gardener's truck, according to police.

A verbal argument ensued between the two men, and the gardener, Francisco Oliveros, 51, of Raymond Street in Stamford, struck the victim in the thigh at least once. Police said that the victim claimed that Oliveros struck him in the thigh three times and the back of the neck once.

Oliveros was issued a misdemeanor summons and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on July 11.
