Greenwich Election Results 2018: Meskers, Camillo, Bergstein Win
Residents are voting to elect a new governor and are also casting their ballots on key local and state races and a U.S. Senate seat.

GREENWICH, CT — Jim Himes, the Democratic incumbent, has won re-election to represent the 4th Congressional District, Patch and media outlets are reporting.
Himes defeated Republican Harry Arora, who also appeared on the Independent party line.

Locally, in Greenwich in 150th House District: Democrat Steve Meskers defeated incumbent Republican Mike Bocchino, writes the Greenwich Time.
And in the 151st House District: incumbent Republican Fred Camillo won re-election over Democratic Challenger Laura Kostin.
The decision in the 36th Senatorial District was not settled until Wednesday morning, with Democrat Alexandra "Alex" Bergstein defeating incumbent Republican L. Scott Frantz.
Greenwich residents also re-elected incumbent Republican Livvy Floren in the 149th House District. Floren was unopposed.
Voter turnout in Greenwich was strong throughout the day on Tuesday, according to unofficial numbers reported by the town's Registrar of Voters office.
Greenwich has just over 38,000 registered voters, and 67.06 percent cast ballots, or more than 25,500 voters.
The strong turnout caused parking problems at the polling site at Greenwich High School Tuesday, which resulted in additional police officers being dispatched to the Hillside Road campus to maintain control, writes Greenwich Free Press.
For Judge of Probate, incumbent Republican David W. Hopper is unopposed.
For Registrar of Voters, newcomer Mary Hegerty, Democrat, is facing off against incumbent Republican Fred DeCaro III.

The choices for the U.S. Senate race are: Matthew Corey, Republican Party, Christopher S. Murphy, Democratic Party, Richard Lion, Libertarian Party, and Jeff Russell, Green Party
In the Secretary of State race the choices are: Denise W Merrill, Democratic Party, Susan Chapman, Republican Party, Heather Lynn Sylvestre Gwynn, Libertarian Party, and Michael DeRosa, Green Party.
In the race for State Treasurer the choices are: Shawn Wooden, Democratic Party, Thad Gray, Republican Party, and Jesse Brohinsky, Libertarian Party.
For the position of State Comptroller the choices are: Kurt Miller, Republican Party, Kevin Lembo, Democratic Party, Paul Passarelli, Libertarian Party, and Edward G Heflin, Green Party.
For the position of Attorney General the choices are: William Tong, Democratic Party, Sue Hatfield, Republican Party, Peter D. Goselin, Green Party.
