Greenwich to Look for Interim Superintendent

Greenwich BOE will have to look sooner than initially anticipated for an interim superintendent.

GREENWICH, CT- The Board of Education will have to look for an interim superintendent sooner than it originally antcipated after it was announced William McKersie will likely get the Weston schools superintendent position.

A search was going to be launched for the 2017-2018 school year after McKersie announced he would not seek a new contract, according to Greenwich Time.

Bother internal and external candidates will be considered for the position.

It was announced April 22 that McKersie would not seek renewal of his contract that is set to expire in June 2017.

McKersie's candidacy for Weston is subject to a satisfactory site visit, background check, and formal appointment by the Weston Board at its May regular meeting. He is anticipated to start in Weston in early August.
