Greenwich Police Arrest 2 Residents on Drug Charges

Police obtained search warrants for a public housing residence.

Armed with search warrants, Greenwich Police narcotics investigators raided a public housing apartment in central Greenwich and arrested two men on a variety of drug-related charges.

Police obtained three search and seizure warrants for one of the suspects and that man’s cell phone and apartment in the Wilbur Peck apartment complex on Davis Avenue and conducted the raid on March 30, according to a police report.

Police seized an unspecified amount of heroin, controlled substances, marijuana and cash, according to the report.

Police arrested Charlee J. Rodriguez, 23, of 5 Wilbur Peck Ct., on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a daycare center, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a daycare center, operating a drug factory, possession of marijuana under four ounces, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a daycare center and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the police report, when officers executed the search warrants Rodriguez was accompanied by Danny E. Mongollon, 23, of 135 Henry St., who “was in possession of numerous controlled substances unprescribed to him.” Mongollon was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a day care center.

Rodriguez was released after posting $10,000 bond. Mongollon was released on a written promise to appear in court. Both men are scheduled to appear April 6 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
