UPDATED: Greenwich Schools Announce Class Dismissal Plans

As a blizzard bears down on Greenwich, Greenwich public and private school officials announced Sunday night that classes will be dismissed early on Monday.

Greenwich Public Schools will dismiss classes three hours earlier than normal.

“Based on consultation with Town Officials, the Emergency Management Operations Center (EMOC), and the Greenwich Police Department, Dr. (William) McKersie will announce the opening status of schools for Tuesday, January 27th on Monday evening,” the district announced late Sunday.

• Greenwich Academy announced on its website: early dismissal. The Lower School will follow a normal Friday pickup schedule and the Middle School will dismiss at noon. The Upper School has no school due to exam grading day.
• Convent of the Sacred Heart will dismiss classes at 12:30 p.m.
• Brunswick School: campus will close at noon.
• Stanwich School: early dismissal; all after school activities cancelled.
• Greenwich Country Day School: classes dismissed at noon; after school activities cancelled.
• Whitby School: early dismissal at noon.
• Greenwich Catholic School: early dismissal at 11:45 a.m. Aftercare is available until 1 p.m. Afters and athletics are cancelled.
