GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich man was arrested Thursday on negligent homicide charges in connection with a fatal collision that killed a pedestrian the day after Thanksgiving, according to police. Charles Graves, 82, of Riverside, was arrested by warrant on charges of negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, making an improper turn and failing to grant right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
According to police, Graves was driving his Honda CRV on Sound Beach Avenue on Nov. 29, 2019, when he improperly turned onto Station Drive South. His vehicle then struck Regina Dowling, 63, of Old Greenwich, as she was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk, police said.
Dowling subsequently died from her injuries, police said.
