Warrant Arrest Made In March 2017 Lockdown At Greenwich High School
A juvenile student was arrested on Sept. 25 in connection with the March 29 incident.

GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich High School student was arrested on a warrant on Sept. 25 in connection with the March 29 full-scale lockdown at the school, according to Greenwich police.
The juvenile student, whose identity was not released due to his age, was charged with first-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.
"This was the conclusion of an investigation into the threatening message written on a bathroom stall at Greenwich High School on March 29, 2017," wrote Greenwich Police Detective Sgt. Brent Reeves in a statement. "As a result of that message the entire school population of students, teachers and staff (3,000 people), were locked down for over 3 hours. During that time approximately 40 Greenwich Police Officers secured the High School and searched every student, backpack and room for weapons or other threats. Once the school was determined to be safe, the students were dismissed."

The department's Special Victims Section conducted an investigation, which led to them determining that the juvenile was the suspect. Details of the investigation were not released.
"This was the first of two High School threats made during the last school year," continued Reeves. "The second was an adult suspect who had attempted to frame a student relative at Greenwich High School by passing a threatening note to a student. The result of that investigation was also an arrest."

Arrested in connection with that case was a 40-year-old Greenwich woman on charges of threatening, risk of injury to a minor, criminal trespass and breach of peace.
"The safety of our children, our most vulnerable population is a paramount mission of the Greenwich Police
Department," concluded Reeves. "When these types of incidents occur the full weight of the Greenwich Police Department is put behind the investigation."
