Groton Car Break-Ins Prompt Police to Issue Warning

Vehicles on one street in particular appear to be targeted, according to Groton Police.

The City of Groton Police Union issued a Wednesday, Sept. 10, reminder to residents after seeing an influx of car break-ins.

“Over the past few weeks there has been an increased amount of car break-ins, especially on Plant Street,” police said.

  • Hide your valuables (trunk or glove box)
  • Lock your vehicle
  • Roll up your windows

“A majority of the vehicles have been left unlocked and the windows have been rolled down,” police noted. “If you see anything suspicious, feel free to call our non-emergency number: 860-445-2451.“
