Pregnant Woman Assaulted in a Guilford House by Three Women Including a Meriden Resident

Others inside the house, helped the pregnant woman escape, police said.

A pregnant woman was allegedly assaulted by three other women inside a Guilford residence Sunday evening, police said.

The woman was able to escape serious injury as others inside the house came to the pregnant woman’s aide, the New Haven Register reports.

Police said they were called to the 2800 block of the Boston Post Road around 7:30 p.m. Sunday for a reported burglary and assault.

Police said Amanda Anziano, 27, of Alcove Street in Meriden, Jaqueena Jones, 24, of New Haven and another unidentified woman allegedly assaulted the pregnant woman inside the house, the Register reports.

During the incident items were broken inside the house, but others helped the victim escape, police said.

Anziano and Jones escaped before police arrived but later turned themselves in and are being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Police said all of the women were known to each other.
