3 Caught Burglarizing Vehicles In Hamden: Police

Two 19-year-olds and a 15-year-old were arrested late Monday night, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — Three teens were arrested late Monday night after police say they were caught breaking into vehicles and tried to break into a business in Hamden. Police responded to the area of 55 Connolly Parkway at about 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 16 on the report of “suspicious activity,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said police were told that three people were “going through parked vehicles” and had attempted to force entry into a local business. The three suspects were found in the area of Wheeler Street.

Police recovered a set of car keys and jewelry, according to Smith.

Regan Chardon, 19, and Yoel Ferguson, 19, both of Benham Street in Hamden, were arrested on charges of third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. They are scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 2.

A 15-year-old Hamden resident was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. He is scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven on Jan. 2. His name wasn’t released because of his age.
