Armed Robbery Suspect Captured In Hamden: UPDATE
Police were searching for a suspect in connection to an armed robbery with shots fired on Wednesday night.

HAMDEN, CT — In a 10:45 p.m. update, Mayor Curt Leng said that police have captured the suspect and have him in custody. Police were actively searching for a suspect who was involved in an armed robbery with shots fired at the Krauszer's, located at State Street and Ridge Road, at about 9:45 p.m., officials announced on the town’s Facebook page.

(Original post) Officials are advising residents in the State Street/Welton Street area that Hamden Police, in conjunction with the New Haven Police and State Police, are actively searching for the suspect.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
“Please lock your doors and stay in your homes,” the Facebook post reads. “If you have exterior yard lighting, please turn the lights on to assist our public safety official do their job. If you see anyone entering your yard or anything suspicious, please call 911 and explain to the Hamden Police.
