An 84-year-old woman's bedroom window was shattered by gunfire as she was watching TV late Tuesday night in Hamden, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — An 84-year-old woman's bedroom window was shattered by gunfire as she was watching TV late Tuesday night in Hamden, according to police.

Police responded to a Wintergreen Avenue home at 11:45 p.m. on Nov. 24 on the report of shots fired, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

The 84-year-old resident told police that she was in her bedroom watching TV when she heard several gunshots and “some glass breakage,” according to Smith.

Smith said the bedroom window was shattered by gunfire and multiple bullet holes were found in the walls and furniture.

There were no reported injuries.

More than a dozen shell casings were found in the street, according to Smith.
