Bullets Hit Home Where Child, 3, Was Sleeping: Hamden Police

Hamden police said several bullets struck a home on Valley Road at about 10:30 p.m.

HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating after several bullets struck a home where a 3-year-old child was sleeping Tuesday night in Hamden. Police responded to a Valley Road residence around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 on the report of “shots fired,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Police found numerous bullet holes in the house and Smith said “several projectiles had entered the house.” A 3-year-old was sleeping inside the house at the time of the shooting, according to Smith.
