HAMDEN, CT — The town will begin curbside pickup of Christmas trees on Monday, Jan. 6, Public Works Director Craig Cesare announced. Trees should be free of all wrappings, lights and decorations. Pickup will be town-wide.

Artificial trees are not included in the pickup and may be disposed of during the bulk trash months of April and October, according to Cesare. Residents can also take their discarded trees, both real and artificial, to the Transfer Station at 231 Wintergreen Ave (open Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., as well as the first and third Saturdays of the month from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.).

For more information, contact Public Works at (203) 287-2600.
