Crash Closes Lane On Route 15 In Hamden

The accident involved three vehicles, according to DOT officials.

UPDATE: All lanes are now open, but traffic is congested for several miles, according to the DOT.

HAMDEN, CT — A three-vehicle accident has closed a lane on Route 15 South between Exits 60 and 59 in Hamden, according to DOT officials.

The southbound side of Route 15 was closed earlier this morning as a result of the crash. As of 10:35 a.m., only the right lane is closed, according to the DOT. (To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Officials expected the remaining delay to last for about an hour.

Two patients were transported for treatment earlier this morning, according to a tweet from the Hamden Fire Department.
