Food Delivery Driver Robbed Of Vehicle In Hamden: Police

A DoorDash driver was robbed of his vehicle while making a delivery by two suspects, including one that possibly had a gun, police said.

HAMDEN, CT — A food delivery driver was robbed of his vehicle Tuesday night in Hamden, according to police.

Police responded to Burke Street around 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 on the report of an armed street robbery, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said a 24-year-old DoorDash driver was making a food delivery and “left the engine running” after getting out of his vehicle.

A dark-colored van parked next to his vehicle and two people got out and stole his vehicle, according to Smith.

The victim told police that one of suspects was “possibly armed with a handgun.”

There were no reported injuries.
