Fraud Case Investigated At Walmart: Hamden Police
Police are looking for a suspect in connection to a credit card fraud investigation.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police are investigating a credit card fraud case in which about $300 worth of transactions were fraudulently charged to a resident’s credit union account.
Police met this week with a Dorrance Street resident regarding a fraud that occurred at Walmart on April 30, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. (To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
The victim told police that she observed two unauthorized transactions on her credit union account. One of the incidents occurred in Manchester, according to Smith. The fraudulent transactions totaled approximately $300.

Smith said investigation revealed that an individual, described as a Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years of age, 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, proceeded to a self-checkout register to commit the illegal transaction.
