Hamden K-9 Unit Donating 125 Frozen Turkeys To Food Bank
The police department's K-9 Unit, along with the Hometown Foundation, is donating 125 frozen turkeys to the Hamden Food Bank.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Police Department K-9 Unit, along with the Hometown Foundation, will be donating 125 frozen turkeys to the Hamden Food Bank for Thanksgiving on Thursday morning.
Hamden Police officers will meet at the upper level of the police garage at 11 a.m. on Nov. 21 to load the turkeys into police cruisers prior to delivery, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said there will be a small parade of vehicles that will be escorted to the Keefe Center, where the turkeys will be delivered.

“The Hamden Police Department would like to thank the Hometown Foundation for making this worthy cause possible,” Smith said.
