Hamden Man Charged In Fight at Restaurant: Orange PD

Police say an argument at a local restaurant escalated and a gun was displayed. No one was injured.

ORANGE, CT - Three people have been arrested for their involvement in a fight inside a local restaurant in which a handgun was recovered, Orange Police said. Arrested were: Sayvon D. McCutchen, 24, of New Haven, Gregory R. Hughes, 23, of Hamden, and Nathan N. Quaye, 30, of New Haven, police said.

Police said officers responded to the Puerto Vallarta restaurant, 377 Boston Post Road, late last month in regard to a fight involving a gun. Officers found the arrestees in the parking lot, police said.

Security staff at the eatery also turned over a gun that had fallen on the ground during the altercation, police said. Officers say McCutchen and Hughes got into an argument with Quaye at the restaurant, and during the argument McCutchen had pulled a handgun, which he later dropped in the parking lot during the altercation, police said.

All three men were charged with breach of peace, and McCutchen was charged with a second count of breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment. All three men are due in court on Thursday.
