Hamden Man Killed, Another Injured In New Haven Shooting

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating a double shooting that led to a homicide Wednesday night. Police were dispatched to Wadley Street at 10:44 p.m. on a report of a shooting.

Two adult men were found in a parked car. The passenger from Hamden was shot in the arm and is in critical condition.

The driver, who has been identified as Ronald Wayne Matheney, 37, of Hamden was pronounced dead shortly after being admitted to the hospital, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman. Matheney was shot multiple times.
