Hamden Man Killed in Crash: PD

NEW HAVEN, CT — A Hamden man was killed after a crash between his motorcycle and an SUV in New Haven Tuesday night. The incident happened before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Judson Avenue and Mead Street.

Motorcyclist Jermaine Witherspoon was in critical condition and later died a short time after arriving at the hospital, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman. To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.

"The SUV operator remained at the scene and has cooperated with the crash investigation," Hartman said. "Fault has not yet been determined."
