Hamden Nursing Home Fined After Residents Injured: Report
The state Department of Public Health recently fined the nursing home in connection to four separate incidents.

HAMDEN, CT — Arden House in Hamden was recently fined $3,660 by the state Department of Public Health for four separate incidents in which residents were injured last year, according to the Connecticut Health I-Team.
Cara Rosner of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports a nurse’s aide was fired following an investigation after a resident suffered a hematoma on their left arm after the aide pulled a call bell away from the resident.
The other incidents involved a resident who suffered a stage-two pressure ulcer, a resident who was injured after attempting to stand up from a wheelchair without help and another resident who was hospitalized with twitching, hypothermia, hypotension and septic shock due to multifocal pneumonia, according to Rosner.
