Hamden Police Seek Driver Who Struck Pedestrian in Hit-and-Run Accident

A 28-year-old man was injured in the accident Monday morning.

Hamden police are seeking the public’s help in locating the driver in a hit-and-run accident who struck a pedestrian Monday morning.

A 28-year-old Hamden man was crossing State Street near Farm Road shortly before noon when he was hit by a car traveling southbound in the northbound lane, according to the New Haven Register. Police said the vehicle continued to travel southbound on State Street and that the victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with injuries to his leg and wrist.

The vehicle is described as a gray, 2001 to 2005 Volkswagen Passat, and it should have damage to the windshield and should be missing the grill insert on the driver’s side fog light.

The driver was reportedly a female.
