Hamden Receives $93.5K Equity Distribution From CIRMA
The town recently received an "Equity Distribution" payment from its insurance provider.

HAMDEN, CT - From the Town of Hamden: Mayor Curt Balzano Leng is pleased to announce that the Town of Hamden recently received an “Equity Distribution” payment from its insurance provider, Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency (CIRMA), a subsidiary of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM), which the Town is a member of. The total amount of the equity distribution payment equals $93,532.00. In a letter to Mayor Leng, President and CEO of CIRMA, David Demchak, described the distribution payment as “the result of excellent operational performance, financial strength, and of the success of our members’ risk management efforts."
Commenting on the receipt of the payment from CIRMA, Mayor Curt Balzano Leng noted, “Our ongoing relationship with CIRMA has allowed Hamden the opportunity to realize significant cost savings over the past few years. CIRMA is managed by municipalities and works for municipalities, and this commitment to serving the best interests of Connecticut’s local governments certainly shows. Hamden is proud to continue working with CIRMA, and we continue to look forward to the many mutual positive benefits of our relationship.”
