HAMDEN, CT — A 92-year-old man was carjacked by two teens Saturday afternoon in Hamden, according to police. The victim, a Hamden resident, was driving his vehicle in a rear parking lot, looking for scrap wood inside of dumpsters, on Warner Street around 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 1, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said the elderly victim was “flagged down” by two suspects, who were described as black males in their-mid-teens and dressed in black clothes. One of the teens opened the driver’s side door, grabbed the victim and threw him onto the ground, according to Smith.
The teens then entered the victim’s vehicle and drove eastbound toward Warren Street. There were no reported injuries, Smith said.
