Man Charged With Assaulting Neighbor: Hamden Police
Police say both neighbors have been charged in connection to the incident, which started during a dispute over a party.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man has been charged with assaulting a neighbor in a dispute over a party that occurred last summer, according to police. Marquise Edwards, 41, was arrested on a warrant over the weekend in connection to the July 2017 incident.
On July 16, 2017, Hamden Police responded to a Helen Street residence on the report of an assault, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. Investigation revealed that police had responded to the Helen Street address earlier in the day on the report of a dispute, Smith said.
“The second-floor tenants, the Edwards, were having a party,” Smith wrote in a press release. “The first-floor tenant, Daren Sarcione, was upset that the guests were ‘slamming’ the front door. Sarcione subsequently punched the glass located inside of the front door, shattering it. Particles of glass struck the female, second-floor resident.”
