Man Fired Shots At Car At Gas Station: Hamden Police
Police say the man approached a vehicle as another man was trying to get gas and fired shots as the car when it tried to leave the area.

HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man was arrested on a warrant this week in connection to an incident in which police say he fired several shots at a vehicle at a gas station in Hamden. On April 13, Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Woodin Street on the report of a shooting, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that the victim, a 46-year-old Hamden resident, stopped at a service station to purchase gasoline. While seated inside of his vehicle, he was approached by a man who was later identified as Phillip Holmes.
“The victim opened the door of his vehicle, which caused Holmes to ‘stumble backwards,’” Smith said in a press release. “The victim then observed a firearm in Holmes’ hand. The victim subsequently fled in his vehicle towards Fourth Street. Holmes fired numerous gunshots, striking the victim’s vehicle multiple times.”
