Man Hospitalized After Being Shot In Hamden: Police

Police said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Sunday night in which a 27-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot. Police said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

At about 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 13, Hamden Police responded to the area of 35 Warner Street on the report of shots fired with a gunshot victim. (To sign up for Hamden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

“Investigation revealed that a 27-year-old male victim was standing in the parking lot of 35 Warner Street when he heard gunshots and subsequently realized that he was shot as he ran away from the sound of the gunshots,” Sgt. Anthony Diaz said in a news release. “The victim was treated by Hamden Fire Rescue personnel before being transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.”
