Man Shot, Killed In Hamden: Police
Police say the man was shot at a gas station on Friday night.

HAMDEN, CT — A man was shot and killed at a gas station in Hamden on Friday night, according to police.
Police responded to Express Fuel gas station just before 9 p.m. on Dec. 27 on the report of a gunshot victim, according to Sgt. Anthony Diaz. Arriving officers found a man slumped over in the front seat of a Nissan Altima.
Diaz said the victim, later identified as 35-year-old Corey Gomes, was suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Hamden Fire Rescue and AMR personnel responded and attempted life-saving efforts, according to Diaz.

Gomes was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was declared deceased, Diaz said. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
