Man Stole $3K In Items During Home Burglary: Hamden Police
The man was recently arrested following an extensive investigation, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man with a history of arrests is accused of stealing $3,000 worth of items during a home burglary nearly two years ago. William Healy, 53, was recently arrested on a warrant in connection to the burglary following an extensive investigation, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. The burglary took place on Armory Street in February 2016.
Smith said investigation revealed that Healy broke into the residence by damaging a rear door. Once inside, Healy stole several items, including electronic equipment, jewelry and personal documents, according to Smith. The stolen items were valued at $3,000.
Detective William Onofrio conducted an extensive investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Healy.

Healy was arrested at Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 22.
Healy, of Hartford Turnpike in Hamden, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny. He was detained on a court-ordered $75,000 bond and arraigned later in the day. Healy has previous convictions for larceny and burglary, according to state judicial records.
