Man Threatened Employee With Knife At Home Depot: Hamden Police

The man is accused of stealing several tools, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A man is accused of threatening an employee with a knife while stealing several tools at The Home Depot in Hamden last week, according to police.

Police responded to The Home Depot at 1873 Dixwell Ave. on the report of a shoplifting, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Police found that a man left the store with numerous stolen tools. When an employee asked for a receipt, the man “pulled out a knife” in a “threatening manner,” Smith said.

The man left the area in an “older model Toyota Corolla,” according to Smith.
