Man Used $220 In Counterfeit Bills At Stop & Shop: Hamden Police

Police are asking for help with identifying the suspect.

HAMDEN, CT — Police are asking for help with identifying a man they say used $220 in counterfeit bills at Stop & Shop in Hamden.

Police responded to the store, located at 2335 Dixwell Avenue, on Nov. 15 on the report of fraud, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said store security told police that a customer, described as a black man in his 20s (pictured), used $220 in counterfeit bills.
