The three-bedroom, two-bath property offers over 2,000 square feet of living space on nearly an acre, with an asking price just under $500,000.
   

• Hamden man injured in Bridgeport shooting (wtnh.com) — A Hamden resident was shot in the leg while standing outside a birthday party on Grove Street in Bridgeport Friday night, but is in stable condition at St. Vincent's Hospital. Bridgeport police say shots from a passing car also hit four parked vehicles, and they're asking anyone with information to contact Det. Tim Leonard as the investigation continues.
   

• Quinnipiac men's ice hockey takes down Merrimack 6-3 to finish opening weekend undefeated (quchronicle.com) — Quinnipiac men's ice hockey gave Hamden fans plenty to cheer about, topping Merrimack 6-3 at home to cap an undefeated opening weekend. With strong contributions from newcomers and a solid debut in goal, the Bobcats now look ahead to hosting the University of Maine on Oct. 9, when local supporters can see if the hot start continues.
