Police Seize $22K In Drugs From Residence: Hamden Police

Police say a sophisticated "marijuana grow operation" was found while executing a search-and-seizure warrant in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police seized more than $22,000 worth of drugs while executing a search-and-seizure warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of Whitney Avenue on Tuesday night. At about 6 p.m. on Feb. 13, members of the Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team found a sophisticated “marijuana grow operation” during the search, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said police seized 16 marijuana plants, which had a collective weight of 1,126.7 grams and 9 THC 100mg “Gummies”, weighing 255.5 grams. The total street value of the drugs is estimated at $22,534, according to Smith.

The Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team is continuing the investigation. Police have applied for an arrest warrant, according to Smith.
