HAMDEN, CT — A red-tail hawk that was found seriously injured by a Hamden is being nursed back to health.
The bird was found July 17 near Shepard and Sherman avenues in the middle of the street.
Animal Control Officer Christopher Smith was able to capture the bird and noticed it had a serious wing injury. It was taken to A Place Called Hope in Killingworth.
