HAMDEN, CT — A 17-year-old Hamden resident was arrested on gun and drug charges after a traffic stop shortly after midnight Monday, according to police. The teen was seen driving a vehicle at a “high rate of speed” on Dixwell Avenue at about 12:05 a.m. on Dec. 23, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
During the traffic stop, the officer smelled marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The officer conducted a search of the vehicle and found a gun that was in the center console, according to Smith.
