Teen, 17, Robbed Of PlayStation 4 At Gunpoint: Hamden Police
Police say a 17-year-old boy robbed another teen of a PlayStation 4 and $400 at gunpoint after agreeing to an online sale.
HAMDEN, CT — A 17-year-old North Haven resident is accused of robbing another teen of a PlayStation 4 at gunpoint in Hamden, according to police. The armed street robbery happened in the area of Fairview Avenue and Jones road on Jan. 24, according to Hamden police.
The 17-year-old victim was selling his PlayStation 4 online and a 17-year-old North Haven resident agreed to buy the item. They decided on a meeting place in the area of Eli Whitney Technical School in Hamden, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said the 17-year-old North Haven resident showed a gun and stole the PlayStation 4 and about $400 from the Hamden teen. The suspect then ran away toward Arch Street.

Det. Joseph Liguori conducted the investigation that led to the arrest warrant for the juvenile, who wasn’t identified because of his age.
The 17-year-old North Haven was arrested March 12 on charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree larceny. He is scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven on March 30.
