Teen, 18, Shot In Hamden: Police

Police said the 18-year-old was shot in the legs around 1:30 a.m. in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — An 18-year-old New Haven resident was hospitalized after being shot in the legs early Friday morning in Hamden. At around 1:30 a.m., Hamden police responded to the area of Goodrich Street and Saint Mary Street for a report of shots fired, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said the victim was shot by an unidentified person while he was walking on Goodrich Street. He had bullet wounds in both legs and was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment, according to Smith.
