Teen In Need Of Medication Missing From Hamden: Police

A Silver Alert has been issued for the missing 15-year-old.

HAMDEN, CT — A Silver Alert has been issued for Iyanna Mitchell, 15, who police say is in need of medication. At about 8 a.m. on Jan. 18, police responded to a Paradise Avenue home on the report of an “emotionally disturbed person,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said responding officers learned that Mitchell had left her residence via a bedroom window and that she was in need of medicine.

Hamden Police conducted an extensive search of the area with the assistance of a K-9 but Mitchell wasn’t located, according to Smith.

Mitchell is described as a black female with burgundy and brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. She is possibly wearing an olive green jacket and black shoes.
