Woman Threatened To Stab Store Security With Needle: Hamden PD

Police are asking for help identifying the woman, who they say fled after being stopped for shoplifting and then threatened store security.

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police are asking for help with identifying a suspect who is accused of threatening to stab store security with a hypodermic needle after being stopped for shoplifting. At about 1:45 p.m. on Feb. 27, police responded to T.J. Maxx, located at 2335 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, on the report of a robbery, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said investigation revealed that a white female attempted to exit the store with several stolen items and a loss prevention officer attempted to detain her. The woman threatened to stab the loss prevention officer with a hypodermic needle, according to Smith.

The woman (pictured) was last seen entering a black “Audi hatchback,” according to Smith.
