Woman Wanted For Attempted Murder Arrested In Hamden: Police
The woman was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A woman who was wanted on an attempted murder arrest warrant out of Massachusetts was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice early Friday morning in Hamden, according to police.
At about 5:15 a.m. on Aug. 18, Hamden Police Detective Raymond Quinn and other members of the U.S. Marshal Service Task Force responded to a residence in the 100 block of Arch Street in an attempt to serve an attempted murder arrest warrant on Susie Otero, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. The arrest warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred in Springfield, Massachusetts on July 7.
Otero was found hiding in a rear bedroom, according to Smith. In addition, officers found Rashard Jones, who was a parole absconder, hiding under a bed, Smith said. Both Otero and Jones were promptly taken into custody.

Otero, 24, of Arch Street, was charged as a fugitive from justice. She was detained at police headquarters on a $250,000 bond. Otero is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Aug. 25.
Jones, 29, of Arch Street, was turned over to the Department of Parole, according to Smith.
