• Connecticut police officers shot, suspect killed after attempted arrest sparks hectic chase (commstrader.com) — A late-night police investigation in downtown Hartford turned into a multi-town chase that ended with two officers shot and a suspect killed in Newington, just south of the city. Hartford Officer Alex Diaz and Rocky Hill Officer Jon Escobar have been released from the hospital, while the state Office of Inspector General now investigates the use of deadly force and how the confrontation unfolded.
