Hartford Police Plan Drunk Driving Checkpoint
The drunk/impaired driving checkpoint will take place later this week at a busy Hartford roadway.
HARTFORD, CT — City police Thursday will be out at one busy Hartford street to check for drunk and/or impaired drivers.
The Hartford Police Department said this week it is planning a "driving under the influence" enforcement checkpoint near 1200 Park St. starting on Thursday, Feb. 13.
That enforcement campaign will start at 5 p.m. that evening and continue until 1 a.m. early on Friday, Feb. 14, at that location.

The checkpoint is part of the HPD's ongoing impaired driving enforcement program within the department's Traffic Division.
It is funded by a grant from the state Department of Transportation's OUI Enforcement Program.
