1. 2-Vehicle Crash Cleared In Hartford: UPDATE (patch.com) — Drivers in Hartford faced delays Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Route 15 South between exits 90 and 86 temporarily closed the right lane. State transportation officials reported the incident around 1:27 p.m., but later confirmed it had been cleared and removed from their active incident list.
   

2. Hartford Honors Fallen Detective With Street Naming (patch.com) — Hartford has renamed part of High Street by the Public Safety Complex as Detective Robert "Bobby" Garten Way, creating a lasting tribute to the officer killed in the line of duty in 2023. City leaders, police, and residents joined Garten's family to honor his service and ensure his sacrifice remains visible in the heart of Hartford.
   

3. CT to bolster fund that has helped thousands buy first-time houses in a tough market (courant.com) — Hartford residents hoping to buy their first home could benefit as Connecticut's Bond Commission is poised to add $5 million to the Time to Own down-payment assistance program. The forgivable, zero-interest loans have already helped nearly 9,600 buyers statewide, with Hartford and East Hartford among the cities where many recipients live, typically purchasing $300,000 homes.
   

4. A CT foundation is donating $630K to a wide swathe of organization. What it targets. (courant.com) — Hartford-area nonprofits, including the Town of West Hartford Food Pantry and several Hartford churches and pantries, are sharing $630,000 in new grants to bolster food aid and other basic needs. The Greater Hartford Gives Foundation says the funding targets residents hit by lost federal nutrition benefits and rising financial stress across the 29-town region.
   

5. Housing Is Cooling Nationally. In These Affordable Markets, Buyers Are Still Competing. (wrenews.com) — Hartford's housing market is one of the nation's hottest, with listings drawing more than four times the usual online views and selling in just over a month despite higher mortgage rates. For Hartford-area buyers and sellers, that means strong competition, limited inventory, and prices that, while not cheap, remain attractive compared with many coastal metros.
