State Police Release Identity of Wanted Foxwoods Casino Patron Shot and Killed by Police: UPDATE
The man who plummeted from a Foxwoods parking deck after being shot by police has been identified.

LEDYARD, CT – Police have released the identity of the armed Foxwoods Resort Casino patron suspected of aiming a gun at police and was subsequently shot Tuesday.
Connecticut State Police have identified Michael Goodale, 23, of Groton City as the man who plummeted from the casino’s parking deck after being shot by an officer, according to a release.
Police said Goodale had an active arrest warrant for violation of probation out against him, which Mashantucket Tribal Police officers tried to serve in the Fox Tower parking garage. When officers attempted to take Goodale into custody, however, he pulled out a firearm and pointed it at police.

"Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police ordered the suspect to drop his weapon, however he did not comply. At least one Mashantucket Tribal Police Officer discharged at least one round from their duty weapon at the suspect," said Kelly Grant, a state police spokeswoman, in a prepared statement.
The shot caused Goodale to fall from the garage’s fourth level onto a paved driveway down below. The suspect was pronounced dead shortly after.
