Work Progressing on Reconstruction of Madison's East Wharf

The much needed work is being done due to the damage caused by Hurricane Irene.

Reconstruction of Madison’s East Wharf after it was badly damaged by Hurricane Irene is progressing well, Jack Kramer reports for the Source.

First Selectman Fillmore McPherson told the Source that currently the wooden parapets in the wharf are being completed.

The Madison Board of Selectmen and town residents approved a $450,000 special appropriation for the project. The town is hoping to recoup some of these costs through federal reimbursement funds.
